Weddings in Houston magazine invited Royal Luxury Events to do the decor, floral, and design for this styled shoot at The Houstonian.
Outdoor Setting – Royal Luxury Events owner and designer, Anna, knew right away that she wanted to take advantage of the mature tree outside the hotel and even built a hexagon to use for the outdoor nuptials.
“I wanted it to feel feminine and still have a mass appeal. I designed it with so many perspectives in mind. I wanted people to see themselves in it even if their upcoming event isn’t a wedding. It could be a brunch, an anniversary celebration, a milestone birthday or a charity fundraiser.”
Indoor Setting – The ballroom at the Houstonian was covered in wood and the carpet had a distinctive print that can be challenging to decorate around. Anna decided to cover the floor completely in custom vinyl. This trend can be updated with a design, names or initials or the wedding date.
“We try to completely transform that room so that you felt like you were somewhere else,” explains Anna. “We wanted the light to reflect off everything and for it to feel clean, pure and heavenly.”
